A guide to the Vietnam eVisa government fees, accepted payment methods, and how to troubleshoot common payment gateway errors.
eVisa Fees
Paying the Vietnam eVisa fee is the final step in the application process after you apply for your eVisa. Your application will not enter the processing queue until the payment is successfully completed. Applicants should verify visa requirements before initiating payment.
The Vietnam Immigration Department charges a non-refundable processing fee based on the visa type:
- Single-entry eVisa (up to 90 days): $25 USD
- Multiple-entry eVisa (up to 90 days): $50 USD
The payment gateway may apply an additional processing fee. The transaction will be charged in Vietnamese Dong (VND) according to the daily exchange rate.
Accepted Payment Methods
The official National Web Portal on Immigration accepts the following international payment methods:
- Visa
- Mastercard
- JCB
Troubleshooting Payment Errors
International transactions are subject to strict security protocols, which may result in payment failures. If a payment is unsuccessful, consider the following steps:
- Contact the card issuer: Many failures occur because the bank flags the transaction as suspicious. Authorize the transaction to the Vietnamese payment gateway and attempt payment again.
- Use an alternative payment method: Try a different debit or credit card, or one from a different financial institution.
- Avoid rapid successive attempts: Multiple consecutive failed attempts may result in a temporary block. Wait several hours before trying again.
- Check browser settings: Clear browser cache and cookies, or try a different browser if the payment portal fails to load properly.
