Official guidance on how to track your Vietnam eVisa application, processing times, and an explanation of portal statuses.
Tracking Your eVisa Application
Following the submission and payment of a Vietnam eVisa application, standard processing requires 3 to 5 working days (excluding weekends and Vietnamese public holidays). Applicants are advised to manually check their application status via the National Web Portal on Immigration, as proactive email notifications are not guaranteed.
How to Check Your Status
To verify an application status, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the E-visa search menu on the National Web Portal on Immigration.
- Enter the Registration Code provided at submission (begins with 'E').
- Enter the email address associated with the application.
- Enter the Date of Birth (DD/MM/YYYY).
- Input the CAPTCHA security code and select 'Search'.
Understanding Your eVisa Status
The portal will display one of the following statuses:
- In Processing: The application has been received and is under review.
- Granted Visa: The eVisa has been approved. Select the green arrow or print icon to download the eVisa document (PDF format).
- Amended: The application requires corrections (e.g., non-compliant photo, incorrect data entry). Refer to the application guide to update and resubmit the required information.
- Unpaid: The application was submitted, but the fee payment is pending. Use the provided link to complete payment.
- Denied / Rejected: The visa application has been refused. Visa fees are non-refundable.
If an application is returned for amendment, the standard 3 to 5 working day processing period will restart upon resubmission.
