Vietnamese visa policy for Chinese citizens
Chinese citizens, including those holding e-passports (passports with a number starting with 'E'), are eligible to apply for the Vietnam eVisa. The eVisa permits a stay of up to 90 days and can be issued for single or multiple entries. Applications must be submitted entirely online via the National Web Portal on Immigration.
Chinese citizens using e-passports (starting with 'E') will receive a loose-leaf visa rather than a visa stamp directly in their passport. The eVisa is valid for entry at any of the 83 designated international border checkpoints, including airports, land borders, and seaports.
General Vietnam entry requirements for Chinese travelers:
- Chinese passport valid for at least 6 months beyond arrival date
- At least 2 blank pages in passport
- Valid Vietnam eVisa
- Proof of onward travel (may be requested upon entry)
