Guidance on the 90-day eVisa policy for Vietnam in 2026, including single and multiple entry options, application procedures, and requirements.

90-Day eVisa Policy Overview

Under current regulations, the Vietnam eVisa allows foreign nationals to stay in the country for up to 90 days. This policy applies to citizens of all countries and territories. The eVisa is available for tourism, business, and transit purposes, eliminating the need for mandatory monthly renewals for stays within the 90-day limit.

Single vs. Multiple Entry Visas

The 90-day eVisa is issued in two categories:

  • Single Entry: Costs $25 USD. Valid for a maximum of 90 days. The visa becomes invalid immediately upon exiting Vietnam.
  • Multiple Entry: Costs $50 USD. Permits unlimited entries and exits across Vietnamese borders within the 90-day validity period. This option is suitable for travelers planning to visit neighboring countries and return to Vietnam.

Travelers intending to leave and re-enter Vietnam during their stay should select the multiple-entry eVisa during the application process.

Application Procedures

The eVisa application process is conducted entirely online via the National Web Portal on Immigration. Processing typically requires 3 to 5 working days. Approved applicants may enter Vietnam through any of the 83 designated ports of entry.

Required documentation includes:

  • A passport valid for at least six months beyond the planned entry date, with at least two blank pages.
  • A recent passport-sized portrait photograph (without glasses, looking straight ahead).
  • A clear scanned image of the passport biographical data page.
  • A valid credit or debit card for the payment of the $25 or $50 USD processing fee.

You may submit your application through the official portal or use our eVisa application services.

Entry Guidelines

Applicants must ensure their submitted photographs adhere strictly to the eVisa photo requirements to prevent processing delays. Upon submission, applicants can check their visa status online.

Travelers are required to print a physical copy of the approved eVisa. Immigration officers at the 83 entry ports will request this printed document alongside the original passport upon arrival.
