A complete guide for Kyrgyz citizens regarding Vietnam's 30-day visa exemption, eVisa requirements for longer stays, KGS cost equivalents, and embassy details.

Vietnam Visa Policy for Kyrgyz Citizens

As of 2026, Kyrgyz citizens are visa-exempt for short visits to Vietnam. Travelers holding a valid Kyrgyz passport can enter and stay in Vietnam for up to 30 days without a visa. This exemption applies to tourism, business, and transit purposes.

For stays exceeding 30 days (up to 90 days), Kyrgyz citizens must apply for an electronic visa (eVisa) prior to travel. The eVisa system is available entirely online and permits both single and multiple entries.

[!NOTE] The Phu Quoc Visa Exemption also remains valid. Travelers flying directly to Phu Quoc Island and staying exclusively on the island for less than 30 days do not require a visa, though the national 30-day exemption already covers this.

Vietnam eVisa Costs in Kyrgyzstani Som (KGS)

For visits longer than 30 days, an eVisa is required. The official government fees for the Vietnam eVisa are fixed in US Dollars (USD). As of June 2026, the estimated equivalents in Kyrgyzstani Som (KGS) are:

  • Single-entry eVisa: $25 USD (approximately 2,190 KGS)
  • Multiple-entry eVisa: $50 USD (approximately 4,375 KGS)

Standard processing time is 3-5 working days. Applicants are advised to submit their applications 1-2 weeks prior to their planned departure date to account for potential delays or public holidays. Application must be done via the National Web Portal on Immigration or an authorized agency.

Apply for a Vietnam eVisa.

Connecting flights to mainland cities such as Ho Chi Minh City (SGN), Hanoi (HAN), or Da Nang (DAD) are available via:

  • Air Astana: Transit via Almaty (ALA).
  • China Southern Airlines: Transit via Urumqi (URC) or Guangzhou (CAN).
  • Centrum Air & SCAT Airlines: Connecting via Central Asian hubs.

Connecting flight durations vary depending on the layover time, typically exceeding 14 hours.

Vietnam Embassy Details for Kyrgyzstan

There is no Vietnamese Embassy or Consulate in Kyrgyzstan.

Consular affairs and traditional visa applications that cannot be processed electronically are under the jurisdiction of the Embassy of Vietnam in Uzbekistan:

  • Address: 100 Sharaf Rashidov Avenue, Tashkent, Uzbekistan

Due to the absence of a local embassy in Bishkek, the online eVisa system is the primary method of application for Kyrgyz citizens.
