Information for Kazakh citizens regarding Vietnam visa requirements in 2026, including the 30-day visa exemption, 90-day eVisa application, and flight routes.

1. 30-Day Visa Exemption for Kazakh Citizens

Under a bilateral agreement, Kazakh citizens can enter Vietnam visa-free for a period of up to 30 days. If the intended stay is 30 days or less for tourism or business purposes, a visa is not required in advance.

To utilize this visa exemption, travelers must present a Kazakh passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the arrival date in Vietnam, containing at least two blank pages for entry stamps.

2. Vietnam eVisa for Longer Stays (Up to 90 Days)

For stays exceeding 30 days, or for itineraries requiring multiple entries, travelers must apply for a Vietnam eVisa. The eVisa is available to all nationalities and permits a maximum stay of up to 90 days.

  • Single-entry eVisa: $25 USD
  • Multiple-entry eVisa: $50 USD

The standard processing time for an eVisa is 3-5 working days. The eVisa is accepted at 83 designated entry ports across Vietnam.

3. How to Apply for a Vietnam eVisa

The eVisa application is processed entirely online.

  1. Prepare documents: Obtain a digital scan of the passport's biographical page and a recent passport-sized photograph (without glasses, against a white background).
  2. Submit application: Applications must be submitted via the official National Web Portal on Immigration. Eligible travelers can apply for an eVisa online through the designated platform.
  3. Pay the fee: Remit the $25 or $50 USD fee using a valid credit or debit card.
  4. Receive your eVisa: Upon approval (typically 3-5 working days), download and print the eVisa. A printed copy must be presented alongside the passport during travel.

4. Flights from Kazakhstan to Vietnam

Direct flight options are available between Kazakhstan and Vietnam.

Airlines such as Air Astana and VietJet Air operate direct flights connecting cities like Almaty and Astana to Vietnamese destinations, including Nha Trang (Cam Ranh International Airport), Da Nang, and Hanoi. Connecting flights are also available via transit hubs in China, Thailand, or South Korea.

5. Vietnam Embassy in Kazakhstan
