Important Tips
Practical tips:
- Currency: Guyana uses the Guyanese Dollar (GYD). As of mid-2026, 1 USD ≈ 209 GYD, so $25 USD ≈ 5,225 GYD and $50 USD ≈ 10,450 GYD.
- Time Zone: Vietnam is GMT+7, Guyana is GMT-4, so Vietnam is 11 hours ahead.
- Climate: Vietnam's tropical climate is similar to Guyana's but varies by region.
- Transit visas: Check if you need visas for any transit countries (US, Europe).
- Insurance: Travel insurance strongly recommended.
