Welcome to Cam Ranh International Airport (CXR)
Cam Ranh International Airport serves the city of Nha Trang and the surrounding Khanh Hoa province. It is located about 30 km (18.5 miles) south of Nha Trang city center. The airport has two terminals: Terminal 1 for domestic flights and Terminal 2 for international flights.
Since its major upgrade, Terminal 2 is modern, spacious, and handles direct flights from South Korea, China, Russia, Kazakhstan, and other regional hubs.

Immigration and eVisa Clearance
Upon landing at Terminal 2, you will follow the signs to the Immigration Hall.
- **If you have an eVisa:** Proceed directly to the 'Foreign Passports' or 'eVisa' counters. Present your printed eVisa and your passport to the immigration officer. They will scan the barcode, stamp your passport, and let you through. - **If you need a Visa on Arrival (VOA):** Head to the 'Landing Visa' counter *before* lining up for immigration. Submit your passport, VOA Approval Letter, two 4x6cm photos, and the $25 USD stamping fee in cash.

After clearing immigration, take the escalator down to the baggage claim area. There are duty-free shops available here if you need last-minute purchases.
Once you have your luggage, proceed through Customs. You must declare if you are carrying more than $5,000 USD in cash or goods exceeding the duty-free allowance (e.g., more than 200 cigarettes or 2 liters of alcohol). All bags will go through a quick X-ray scanner before you exit into the Arrivals Hall.
Getting from Cam Ranh Airport to Nha Trang
The drive from the airport to downtown Nha Trang takes about 45-50 minutes along a scenic coastal road. You have several transport options:
- **Airport Shuttle Bus:** The Dat Moi (yellow) bus runs frequently from the airport to the city center. Tickets cost around 65,000 VND ($2.50 USD). It is cheap but may take longer as it drops people off along the route.
- **Taxis:** Official taxis (Mai Linh, Vinasun, Quoc Te) are available outside the arrivals hall. A meter ride to the city center typically costs 300,000 - 350,000 VND ($12-$14 USD).
- **Ride-Hailing (Grab):** You can use the Grab app to book a car. The price is fixed upfront, usually around 250,000 - 300,000 VND.
- **Private Transfers:** Pre-booking a private transfer through your hotel or a travel agency is highly recommended if you are arriving late at night or have a lot of luggage.
