Learn how to track your Vietnam eVisa application, what 'In Processing' vs 'Amended' means, and how to download your approved visa.

Tracking Your eVisa Application

After submitting and paying for your Vietnam eVisa, the standard processing time is 3 to 5 working days (excluding weekends and Vietnamese public holidays). However, the government does not always send proactive email updates. You must manually check your status.

How to Check Your Status

Follow these steps to check your application status:

  • Go to the official eVisa portal's Search / E-visa search menu
  • Enter your Registration Code (starts with an E, e.g., E250...)
  • Enter the Email you used for the application
  • Enter your Date of Birth (DD/MM/YYYY)
  • Enter the CAPTCHA security code and click 'Search'

Understanding Your eVisa Status

When you search, you will see one of the following statuses:

  • 'In Processing': Your application has been received and is being reviewed. Wait patiently
  • 'Granted Visa' / 'Approved': Congratulations! Your eVisa has been approved. A green arrow or print icon will appear. Click it to download your eVisa as a PDF
  • 'Amended' / 'Amendment Required': There is an issue with your application. Usually, this is due to a poor-quality photo or incorrect name format. Read the instructions, update the info, and resubmit
  • 'Unpaid': Your application was submitted, but the payment failed. Click the payment link to try again
  • 'Denied' / 'Rejected': Your visa application has been refused. The fee is non-refundable

If your status is 'Amended,' once you resubmit your updated information, the 3-5 working day processing clock starts over.
