Don't panic if you misplace your Vietnam eVisa or registration code. Here is a step-by-step guide to retrieving your approval letter.
Step 1: Check Your Inbox and Spam Folders
The first thing to do when you realize you don't have your Vietnam eVisa is to check your email. The Vietnam Immigration Department sends the registration code and updates from an official evisa.gov.vn address. Search your inbox, spam, and junk folders for terms like "Vietnam eVisa", "Registration Code", or "Immigration". If you find the initial email, it will contain your registration code.
Add the official Vietnam Immigration email to your contacts to prevent future updates from going to spam.
Step 2: Retrieving a Lost Registration Code
If you cannot find the email, you can retrieve your registration code directly from the official portal. Visit the Vietnam eVisa website and navigate to the search or support section. You will typically need to provide the email address you used during the application and your Date of Birth. Once verified, the system will send the registration code to your email.
Step 3: Downloading and Printing Your Approval
Once you have your registration code, go to the "Search" menu on the official eVisa website. Enter your registration code, email, and Date of Birth. From there, you can view your eVisa status and download the PDF approval letter. It is critical that you print this document.
Always print your Vietnam eVisa. Many airlines will deny boarding if you only present a digital copy on your phone, and immigration officers at the 33 entry ports (including 13 airports) prefer a physical copy.
